The Israeli startup Cyera, which deals with the protection of sensitive information of various organizations, is currently raising an amount that is expected to be at least 200 million dollars based on a value of 1.5 billion dollars, with the fund that will lead the fundraising being Coatue. The company has a total of about 200 employees in Israel and the USA.
Cyera was founded in early 2021 by Yotam Segev, CEO of the company, and Tamar Bar-Ilan, Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Yotam and Tamar served together for a decade in Talfiot and 8200, where they founded and led a new unit that integrated cloud technologies into the traditional cyber world of 8200. This is how the two were exposed for the first time to the magnitude of the challenge in protecting sensitive information in cloud environments.
