Every year, in the month of February, the IMTM tourism exhibition is held in Israel. Last year, dozens of different countries and destinations around the world participated, but this year, following the war, there is a very sharp decrease in the number of countries taking part in the exhibition. Which are the countries that decided not to come to Israel this year to exhibit in the exhibition in order to attract the Israeli tourist to them and who did.
The countries that chose not to come this year even though they did present in Israel last year are:
Seychelles, Georgia, Malta, Korea, Ghana, Japan, Kosovo, Slovenia, Tanzania, Hungary, Poland, Philippines, Morocco, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Italy, Brazil, Kyrgyzstan, Dubai (not a country, but exhibited in its own booth), Germany, Portugal , Spain, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Montenegro and Nepal.
Yes, they will arrive:
Cyprus, Azerbaijan, Romania, Sri Lanka, Ghana, Taiwan, Vietnam, France, El Salvador, Czech Republic, Greece and Ethiopia.
Eyal Shmueli, publisher of ITN and tourism exhibition ventures responded: “Despite the tensions and the situation in the industry, we are happy to see that more and more countries are announcing their participation in the exhibition, including Taiwan, Vietnam, France and El Salvador. The tourism industry in Israel is in difficult times, and we are working to support and promote tourism out of a sense of mission.”
