The Israeli jiu-jitsu team wins 8 medals at the AJP competition in Japan

The Israeli jiu-jitsu team returned from Japan with an impressive achievement, after winning 8 medals at the prestigious AJP competition, held on January 14, 2024.

The team, led by coach Amir Bowron, won 3 gold medals, 2 silver medals and 3 bronze medals.

On the first day of the competition, Nega Reshef won the gold medal in the women’s category up to 63 kg, Mitar Rosenfeld won the gold medal in the men’s category up to 77 kg, Ido Barash won the bronze medal in the same category, and Denis Bevankov won the bronze medal in the category up to 69 kg Matan Hazan won a gold medal in the Master 1 to 120 kg category.

On the second day of the competition, Panina Aharonov won a silver medal in the women’s category up to 55 kg, Amit Burstein won a silver medal in the men’s category up to 62 kg, and Riv Biton won a bronze medal in the category up to 85 kg.

The team’s achievements are particularly impressive, since this is the most prestigious competition in the world in jiu-jitsu. The Israeli national team continues to display a high level of ability, and it can certainly be considered one of the leading candidates for success in the World Games.
