An innovative development from Kibbutz Magen, which was attacked on October 7, has developed a smart IoT solution, which includes sensors that sample parameters related to water quality, such as chlorine level, PH, temperature, etc., and accordingly dispenses disinfectants. Alongside this, a control and management system in Microsoft’s Azure cloud was developed during the project, as well as a mobile application, which enables remote calibration and constant control, for the service of technicians, pool cleaners and pool owners.”
The cost of the water monitoring project – which was done for the private company that owns Kibbutz Magen, from the settlements surrounding Gaza that were attacked on October 7 – is estimated by industry officials to be in the millions of shekels. Ran Reichberg, VP of Technologies: “The kibbutz industry is Israeli pride and Kibbutz Magen Zmich is a thriving enterprise that exports world-class advanced products to many countries.
The war of iron swords began with a murderous and unbridled attack by Hamas terrorists and thousands of Gaza residents, who breached the border to the State of Israel and committed one of the most horrific acts of massacre, looting, burning and rape known to humanity, in the settlements surrounding Gaza.
One of these kibbutzim is Kibbutz Magen, where there is a large development plant these days, the companies One Technologies and Magen Eco-Energy announced that the project in which they invested and developed the plant, has been completed. The development in question is an innovative technological solution for monitoring and treating swimming pool water. The product was developed by One Technologies for Magen Eco-Energy.
The people of the ONE Digital division from the One Technologies group completed a technology development project for water monitoring for Magen Eco-Energy from Kibbutz Magen.
The financial scope of the project – which began a year ago and ended during the war, last November – was not made public, but industry officials estimated it at millions of shekels.
As part of the project, a technological solution for monitoring and treating swimming pool water was developed and implemented for Magen Eco-Energy. This is the main factory of Kibbutz Magen, from the settlements surrounding Gaza that were attacked on October 7.
A smart IoT solution was implemented in the project, which includes sensors that sample indicators related to water quality, such as chlorine level, PH, temperature, etc., and accordingly – flow disinfectants. Also developed and implemented in the project: a control and management system in Microsoft’s Azure cloud; and a mobile application, which enables remote calibration and constant control, for the service of technicians, pool cleaners and pool owners.
Magen Eco-Energy is a private company owned by Kibbutz Magen, engaged in the development, production and distribution of heating and purification systems for swimming pools, as well as heating and cooling systems for acids. The ONE Digital division has been working with the people of the factory for several years, in order to perfect its products, and make them smarter, including the establishment of a cloud infrastructure, to which the devices manufactured in the factory report. The division managed the current project in cooperation with the development and engineering division of Magen Eco-Energy.
According to Ronan Bar, the director of the development and engineering division at Magan Eco-Energy, “The plant continues to radiate resilience, to advance technologically, and to supply products to customers all over the world, with our engineers being the driving force of innovation. The project gives us a significant competitive advantage against global competition, and will increase our sales for the benefit of strengthening the entire kibbutz.”
Ran Reichberg, VP of Technologies of the One Technologies Group, added that “the kibbutz industry is Israeli pride and Kibbutz Magen Zmich is a thriving enterprise that exports world-class advanced products to many countries. We are proud to work together with the factory. The project will allow Magen Eco-Energy to lead the field and provide a winning service to its customers worldwide.”
