After a series of huge Israeli deals in the cyber field, an impressive deal was also registered in the field of gaming – Playtica, the Israeli gaming company that is traded on Wall Street at a value of 3 billion dollars, announced tonight that it is buying the Israeli mobile game company SuperPlay. This is for $700 million and an additional contingent consideration that may reach $1.25 billion subject to the achievement of specific financial goals defined for three years.
This is a high return for investors since Superplay has raised about 50 million dollars to date and the value in the last fundraising was about 200 million dollars. According to estimates, the company’s annual revenue rate exceeded 300 million dollars.
According to Playtica’s announcement, “this transaction is expected to add to the company an experienced team with a proven reputation for launching new and successful games and is expected to be a significant growth engine for Playtica upon completion.”
It was also reported that “Superplay, founded in 2019 by Gilad Almog and Eyal Netzer, both former Playtica employees, together with Elad Drori, a veteran in the mobile game industry, broke out as an expert game developer with two successful game titles: Dice Dreams, a game in the fast-growing coin collecting category ; and Domino Dreams, a popular board game.
The company has two more games in development.
In 2024, the two games Dice Dreams and Domino Dreams grew rapidly and last August together reached a peak of 1.7 million active users on average per day.”
The two founders will continue to lead Superplay as an independent studio within Playtica.
