This is a war we don’t want. What have we gained from this war, other than the destruction of the south, the burning of its lands and the displacement of its population?” said the Lebanese member of parliament Elias Khankash, who came out against the regime in Tehran on Lebanese television . Samir Jaja, who heads the Christian party, also warns – an organization Terrorism and Iran lead Lebanon because of the Iranian interest

“It’s a shame what’s happening in the south (Lebanon). The road to Jerusalem (Hezbollah’s slogan) has become a road of blood and destruction because of a war we don’t want and are in. The war is being run for the benefit of Iran directly from Lebanon. As a representative in the parliament, someone asked me about my opinion about fighting the war This one?” said Hankash, a member of the Christian Phalanges party.

He also wondered if Hezbollah wanted to elect a president for the country, a move that has been delayed for a year and a half, against the background of the political floundering in the parliament. “Hezbollah does not want a president,” he emphasized.

At the end of his words, Khankash clarified: “Let’s be realistic, what did we gain from this war, apart from the destruction of the south, the burning of its lands and the displacement of its population?”

In an interview with the Arab press, Jaja, one of the prominent voices against Hezbollah in the country, warned that: “The terrorist organization and Iran are leading Lebanon towards dangerous places. The Lebanese people are in a disaster.” “In my opinion, things are heading towards a greater disaster. The situation in southern Lebanon is heading in the direction of another explosion. The government is absent when it comes to escalation, actions and diplomatic messages and statesmen, as if there is no government in Lebanon. Unfortunately, there are those who are taking Lebanon towards the unknown. The axis (of Hezbollah) ) has been thwarting presidential elections for the past two years, because the priorities are elsewhere.”

In an interview with the newspaper “A-Sharq al-Awast” Jaja said: “The situation in southern Lebanon is on the verge of a greater escalation than we see. The war in southern Lebanon will not only depend on Gaza, but also on Syria, Iraq and Yemen. This dependence puts the country is in a dangerous place. If the situation continues, we are facing a war of attrition that will exact victims and an economic price from Lebanon.”

According to the Lebanese politician, who heads the largest Christian party in the parliament, “If there is a greater escalation, then Allah knows where we will be and what will happen and what the losses will be.” He also said: “I understand that the Iranians are doing what is best for their interest – which is a natural thing. But there is a Lebanese group (Hezbollah) that is dragging all of Lebanon according to the Iranian interest, and this is unacceptable.”
