A support conference for Israel under the title ISRAEL YOU ARE NOT ALONE is taking place this week in Dallas, Texas, where some of the top evangelical movement leaders in the US are coming together on one stage to support Israel and call for a fight against anti-Semitism. The person behind the organization is Dr. Mike Evans, chairman of the organization JPT, one of the leaders of the evangelical movement in the USA and one of the biggest supporters of the State of Israel. Today the evangelicals are a very important force in the fight for Israel and it is difficult to see how the State of Israel can stand up to the one and a half billion Muslims without their support
“These days 750 million evangelicals are standing by Israel’s side” says Dr. Evans, who defines himself as a Christian-Zionist. “It is important that the people of Israel know that they are not alone in this difficult time, they have hundreds of millions of supporters with them and it is important to make this voice heard.”
That’s how the week was held as well A demonstration of support and solidarity with Israel was held this week in Dublin, the capital of Ireland, in front of the Irish Parliament building, in protest of the Irish government’s decision to recognize a Palestinian state. The support march, which carried the message “Israel, you are not alone”, is an initiative of the global evangelical Christian organization called the “International Christian Embassy” as well as other pro-Israel Christian organizations.
The demonstrators, who waved many Israeli flags, went out to protest the Irish government’s announcement of support for a Palestinian state. In front of many anti-Israeli demonstrations in the world, there are also demonstrations such as those in Ireland, in many cases, the result of the initiative of evangelical communities that sympathize with Israel. You should know Dr. Michael David Evans – one of the most important activists for Israel :
Dr. Michael David Evans, is a writer, journalist, and convert commentator, of American Jewish origin, he is considered a passionate Zionist and heads Christian Zionist organizations in the United States, the Netherlands and Israel.
Evans is the son of a Jewish mother (whose parents were immigrants from the Soviet Union) and the grandson of Holocaust survivors.
According to Halacha he is indeed a Jew, but he lives his life as a Zionist Christian. He is a member of the evangelical community, which believes that the immigration of Jews to Israel and the establishment of the State of Israel are a necessary part of the Christian redemption process. “If you walk around Texas, for example, and find out you’re Israeli – people want to touch you,” he says of his co-believers. “For them, it’s like touching Moses our rabbi. They believe in what was promised in the Bible, in Genesis chapter 12 – ‘And you will bless your knees, and your curse will be light.’ For them, if they bless Israel, God will bless America, and vice versa. They believe that the president of the United States must take care of Israel.”
He grew up and was educated as a Christian and suffered violence from his anti-Semitic father, which led him in his adulthood to dedicate himself to the fight against anti-Semitism and hatred of Israel, and even to establish 9 years ago the Friends of Israel Museum (FOZ), located in the center of Jerusalem and dedicated to honoring the Jewish people and those who stand by them.
“Museum of the Friends of Israel in Jerusalem”, presents the legacy of Christian figures who helped the Jews before the establishment of the state. This museum, which operates in a building designated for preservation near the “Cats’ Square” in the city, was established by Evans with the help of donations amounting to hundreds of millions of shekels raised from supporters of Israel around the world. The Israeli board of trustees of the place is headed by General Yossi Peled, the late Shimon Peres was until his death the chairman of the international board of trustees, and Evans’ son, Michael, serves as the museum’s CEO.
Evans has written and published 71 books, and he also provides commentary on Middle East issues for various media outlets. He appeared on various television and radio programs and his opinion articles were published in newspapers such as the “Washington Times”, “The Jerusalem Post” and others. Evans also founded and heads several political Christian organizations.
“The events of October 7 shook me, and it was clear to me, as it was to the entire evangelical movement, that we must stand by the State of Israel more than ever, unequivocally and uncompromisingly,” said Dr. Evans. When the war broke out, he boarded a flight to Israel from his seat in Texas, and since then he Is on the Israel-USA line, in what he considers his most important mission.
“The war is indeed taking place in the State of Israel, but it must not be mistaken, it is a war for the future of the Western world, led by the United States. Look at what is happening on our campuses in the USA. Rioters tear down the flags of Israel and the USA and wave the flags of terrorist organizations in their place, and Jews are forced to hide their identity. For years the Muslim Brotherhood built radical cells and they are now breaking out on our campuses in a timed and organized manner, brainwashing the leaders of tomorrow. It didn’t start on October 7, it’s a years-long process that includes a clear ideology to destroy America and Israel, and a lot of money that captured the American academy.”
Dr. Evans, who, along with other evangelical leaders, is disturbed by the sightings on American campuses, is working in this arena with Republican governors and senators, with the goal that a heavy hand will be used in suppressing disturbances.
For example, he acted against the governor of Texas, the Republican Greg Abbott, who was the first to order arrests at the pro-Palestinian demonstrations at the University of Texas. The close relationship between the evangelical movement and the Republican Party has led to a series of decisions concerning Israel in the past, including former President Donald Trump’s decision to move the embassy to Jerusalem or the recognition of Israel’s sovereignty in the Golan Heights. In recent weeks, the movement worked against the party to approve the aid package to Israel, which, as I remember, also included aid to Ukraine and Taiwan.
Evans also uses his connections with Republican congressmen to voice the cries of the kidnapped families.
Since October 7, he has organized dozens of meetings of members of Congress with the families and has accompanied some of them on outreach trips across the US.
He makes sure to echo the cry of the abductees every day to his millions of followers on social networks.
Last month, a campaign funded by Dr. Evans appeared in Israel, titled The End of the Ayatollah Regime in Iran and centered on an hourglass, symbolizing the end of the Islamic regime in the country.
The hourglass was chosen as a reference to the hourglass that was placed in the center of Palestine Square in Tehran with a deadline for the destruction of the State of Israel. The campaign that arose against the background of the Iranian attack on Israel, aroused great interest in the Iranian networks and especially among the opponents of the regime, and is intended to convey the message that Dr. Evans has been working to convey for 7 months – that this is a joint war, for the future of the Western world.
“Don’t let the pictures from the protests and disturbances in the world confuse you, Israel has a strong back and broad support in the USA and many European countries.” says Dr. Evans, “The criminal attack on Israel must turn on all the warning lights in the Western world, change diskette and start acting by all means Against those who seek to destroy us and establish an Islamic caliphate over us.”
